Brinkerhoff Hospitality's wood-fired American with Southwestern influences, opened in 2017 in the RidgeGate development. In-house bakery and rotisserie, a serious patio, and a price point that locals call out as steep. Worth it for an anniversary, less so for a Tuesday.

Sierra opened in December 2017 as a Brinkerhoff Hospitality concept anchoring the new RidgeGate development on the south side of Lone Tree. The building is the most architecturally serious restaurant in DougCo: copper-topped tables, exposed timber, a wood-fired hearth visible from the dining room, large windows, a wraparound patio that catches sunset. The kitchen runs an in-house bakery (the bread program is a real differentiator), a rotisserie, and a wood-fired grill that does most of the entrée production.
The menu reads timeless American with Southwestern accents. Mini chile rellenos and green chile appetizer egg rolls open as the standout starters. Wood-fired artichokes and ahi tuna crisps round out the appetizer page. Mains run rotisserie chicken (the most-ordered dish), a wood-fired ribeye, salmon, fajitas, and a short pasta program. The chicken is the consistent standout; the steak is competent but not at the level of Manning's; the fajitas are fine but not the reason to come. The bread (rosemary focaccia, cornbread, sourdough) gets called out in reviews more than any single entrée.
The gripe most locals share: the prices run high relative to portion size, and a dinner for two with two drinks each can cross $200 without effort. The reviews that score it down are mostly about the math. If you're calibrated to the price as a special-occasion restaurant, the experience holds; if you came expecting an everyday Tuesday spot, it'll feel expensive. The patio in summer with sunset light is genuinely one of the better restaurant experiences in DougCo, but the equivalent food in Castle Rock at Scileppi's runs 25% less.

Dinner books out Friday-Saturday after 6pm; reserve on OpenTable. Sunday brunch is calmer and walk-in-friendly. The patio fills first when weather allows; ask for it specifically when you book.
Order the bread basket as a starter even when the kitchen brings bread automatically; the focaccia and sourdough are the bakery's actual showcase items and run out by 8pm on busy nights. Ask for the rotisserie chicken half-portion if you want to leave room for a starter.
The price-to-portion ratio is the most common complaint and it's accurate. Budget $90-100 per person with a drink. The fajitas and the steak are the two entrées most reviewers regret; rotisserie chicken or salmon are the safer plays.
