Smokin Fins - Littleton

A Colorado-grown seafood-and-sushi chain at Old Town Littleton (technically Jeffco, 12 minutes from Highlands Ranch). 4.8 stars on OpenTable. Half-price sushi at happy hour. Cedar-plank salmon and Mango rolls as the two orders that define the menu.
Why it's here
Smokin Fins is a Colorado-based five-location seafood-and-sushi chain that started in Arvada and has spread to Littleton, Highlands Ranch (the second one), Centennial, and Edwards. The Old Town Littleton location at 2575 W Main is the closest of the chain to north DougCo at about a 12-minute drive from Highlands Ranch. The Town Center room is a step up from the strip-mall feel of most chain seafood places: hardwood, exposed beams, a serious sushi bar, and outdoor seating that runs valet parking on busy nights.
The menu blends three things most Colorado seafood places don't get right together: ocean-fresh fish (flown in daily), house-smoked specialties (prime rib, slow-smoked pork, salmon), and a sushi program that holds up against dedicated sushi spots. The Cedar Plank Salmon is the consensus first order. The Honey-Chipotle Salmon is the runner-up. The Mango Roll and the Atomic Roll are the two sushi orders that come up in every other review. Lobster Mac & Cheese is the indulgent split-it-with-the-table option.
Happy hour is the value play. Mon-Fri 3-6pm, sushi rolls run half-off the main-menu price, plus discounted apps and drinks. The discount on rolls in particular makes this one of the few places where you can genuinely eat well-quality sushi for what feels like fair money. Reviewers cite it as the best happy hour in Old Town Littleton, and they're right.
The weekend brunch (Sat-Sun 10am-2pm) is the secondary draw. Crab benedicts, smoked salmon hash, and the standards run alongside half-priced sushi rolls during brunch hours. The 4.8 OpenTable average across 500+ diners is unusually high for a chain of this size; the kitchen consistency holds.
Know before you go
- •Cedar Plank Salmon (the consensus first order)
- •Half-price sushi happy hour (Mon-Fri 3-6pm)
- •Weekend brunch (Sat-Sun 10am-2pm) with discounted rolls
- •Mango or Atomic Roll if you're trying the sushi for the first time
Mon-Thu 11am-9pm, Fri 11am-10pm, Sat-Sun 10am-10pm. Happy hour Mon-Fri 3-6pm. Weekend dinner books out; OpenTable is the move. Brunch fills 10am-1pm Saturdays.
Sit at the sushi bar for happy hour. Same prices, you can order one roll at a time as you go, and the chefs will recommend the day's best fish. Order the Cedar Plank Salmon as your share entrée and a couple of rolls between two people; that's the right portion split for two adults.
Friday and Saturday after 7pm gets loud; if you want quiet, ask for a back booth or come at 5:30. The smoked specialties are good but the seafood is where the kitchen lives; if you came to a seafood-and-sushi place and ordered the brisket, calibrate. Valet parking is offered on busy nights but isn't always staffed; have a backup plan for street parking.
